This basement kitchen in a Mayfair flat was transformed from a dated, utilitarian space into a sleek, contemporary kitchen designed for both everyday living and entertaining.
The original kitchen felt dark and tired, with limited storage and little visual cohesion. Our aim was to modernise the space, improve functionality and create a cleaner, more refined aesthetic that complemented the rest of the property.
We introduced handleless matte cabinetry in a deep, contemporary tone, paired with pale stone-effect flooring to brighten the basement setting and enhance the sense of space. The crisp white worktops and splashback add contrast and reflect light, while integrated appliances keep the look streamlined and uncluttered.
A compact breakfast bar was incorporated to provide casual seating without compromising circulation, adding a practical yet sociable element to the layout. Open shelving softens the scheme and allows for simple styling, helping the kitchen feel welcoming rather than purely functional.
The result is a calm, modern kitchen that maximises light, storage and usability — a sophisticated upgrade that completely redefines the space.
