Bold, Multifunctional Family Living Room - Oxted, Surrey

This project was a full redesign of a dated and cluttered living room, transforming it into a vibrant, cohesive and multifunctional family space.

The brief was to modernise the room, improve storage, introduce more personality and pattern, and create a calm, stylish backdrop for everyday living.

What We Did:

New flooring throughout to bring warmth, flow and a more contemporary feel.

Full redecoration, including bold feature wallpaper and rich paint tones to add depth, drama and character.

Bespoke cabinetry and a fitted bookcase with integrated desk, designed to provide ample storage, display space and a dedicated work-from-home area without overwhelming the room.

Updated wall lights and electrical hardware.

New cushions and rug to add texture and tie in colours from the wallpaper.

Installation of pocket doors to create better flow between rooms while saving space.

A new fire and refreshed fireplace to form a strong focal point and anchor the layout.

The result is a completely reimagined living room that feels cohesive, stylish and highly functional—balancing bold design with everyday practicality. The space now flows beautifully, accommodates work, relaxation and entertaining, and truly reflects the clients’ personality.
